Thank you for your interest in the Intercultural Resource Center and for considering the Intercultural House (ICH) as your housing option!
While all residential spaces are filled for the Fall 2022 semester, ICH applications will still be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis in the event an opening becomes available. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about any openings. The application for the 2023-24 academic year will open in late Fall 2022 as part of the Special Interest Communities (SICs) Application.
All residents must participate in a mandatory weekend orientation/retreat to take place prior to the start of the fall semester. Inability to participate in this experiential program in its entirety will be cause of dismissal from the program and residence. No exceptions will be made.
Note: Applicants are expected to reside in the ICH community for a full academic year. Plans to study abroad during the 2023–24 academic year may affect consideration of prospective residency.
Questions about the process, program requirements and/or qualifications? Please email email@example.com.
Prospective ICH residents should support the IRC’s objective to collectively work toward social justice, actively build community within the ICH and on campus and develop awareness of issues related to social inequity through education and social exchange. Applicants must be enrolled in no fewer than twelve points at Columbia College, Columbia Engineering or Barnard College. During their year of residence, applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in good academic standing and disciplinary status (status may be verified as a part of the application process).
