At the end of each academic year, Undergraduate Student Life and partner offices recognize students with awards and honors for leadership, cocurricular accomplishments, and noteworthy contributions to the Columbia community.
The King's Crown Leadership Excellence Awards recognize undergraduate Columbia College and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science students which have offered outstanding leadership to their community/ies with exemplary commitment and energy. Awards are presented across eight categories. A Certificate of Distinction for Leadership Excellence is awarded to up to ten individuals per category. A select few may receive the Dean's Award for Leadership Excellence. The award categories are as follows:

- Community Building
- Columbia Spirit
- Civic Responsibility
- Innovation & Enhancement
- Inclusion & Advocacy
- Indelible Mark
- Health & Wellness

Submitted nominations will also serve to determine many recipients of our Named Awards, Class Day Awards & Senior Marshals. Nominations for the 2016 King’s Crown Leadership Excellence Awards are now closed. Thank you for taking the time to submit your nominations.
Senior Marshals: Graduating CC and SEAS seniors can also be honored as a Senior Marshal and will lead their class procession into the Class Day and Commencement ceremonies.
The School of General Studies and Barnard College award nominations will open in the spring semester.
