Zvi Galil Award

The Zvi Galil Award is selected each spring by Dean of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science on the recommendation of Student Engagement. Student clubs may apply to receive the award, which includes monetary support, the group’s name inscribed on a plaque to be placed at the entrance of Mudd, and is presented at the Leadership and Excellence Awards Ceremony in May.

The Zvi Galil Award, named after a former Dean of the School of Engineering (1995-2007), was created in 2008 to honor the engineering-focused student group that most improves engineering student life during the academic year through either a commitment to the engineering profession or through integration of engineering with other sectors of the university. The awardee could also be selected for demonstrating resourcefulness and a commitment to expanding the awareness of the engineering field and the engineering community on campus.

Requirements:
-Must be an engineering-focused student group
-Eligible groups must be recognized by one of the 5 undergraduate governing boards.

Nominations for the 2024 award will close on the 20th of February
