At Columbia, the majority of undergraduate students live on campus. Students’ friendships, academics, and extracurricular activities extend into the residence halls, creating an active campus life and vibrant residential community.
Residential Life works to foster strong residential communities and facilitate the ongoing development that occurs outside the classroom, supporting students by creating safe and inclusive living and learning environments where creativity and connections can flourish.
Through its programs, initiatives, and outreach, Residential Life – its professional and graduate staff, resident advisers, hall councils, and special interest communities – focuses on enriching community, enhancing wellness, instilling accountability, and celebrating diversity.
