Undergraduate Student Life

Undergraduate Student Life works to foster a welcoming and inclusive community by supporting undergraduate students in the development of skills and awareness of self and others required to responsibly engage, serve and lead at Columbia, in New York City, and beyond.

This year, First-Gen @ Columbia will celebrate Inclusive Schools Week, which is held each year during the first full week in December.

Ally Week seeks to put individuals and communities on Columbia's campus into conversations that grapple with privilege and marginalization, engage with our socialization, and cultivate meaningful solidarity.

Trans Awareness Week raises awareness of and educates the Columbia community about the lives and experiences of transgender and nonbinary communities.

Below is a full list of events taking place during Trans Awareness Week 2017:

Special Interest Communities (SICs) offer a unique residential experience by allowing upperclassmen students to embrace and explore common interests together through regular programs, events and workshops.

Need a place to unwind? Any time you need a study break, come to 510 Lerner, where you can always enjoy coloring, Play-Doh, board games and Legos.
