Disability Justice Liaisons

Disability Justice Liaisons are representatives from student organizations and administrative offices that make a commitment to make their organizations' events more accessible and affirming for disabled communities. Participants are offered trainings, tools, and resources that they can bring back to their communities and beyond. Applications will open in Spring 2024.

Spoons is a disability justice dialogue group that explores current events impacting disabled communities, supports one another in navigating campus life, builds friendship and community, and considers strategies for challenging ableism on campus. Join our mailing list and check out our meeting schedule!

Columbia Mentoring Initiative: Disability Justice Family Tree

Columbia Mentoring Initiative (CMI) is an inter-generational mentorship program that connects first-year and transfer students (mentees) with returning students (mentors) and all students with alumni. In addition to program-wide events and activities for all participants, students have the opportunity to get involved in various "family trees" within the program. The Disability Justice Family Tree is one of nine different trees that the program offers. Mentor applications for the 2024-2025 school year will open in Spring semester.
