Welcome, Class of 2021! In order to earn your degree, you must submit a degree application.

The application for your degree must be submitted by Monday, March 1, 2021.
If you have already submitted your degree application as a PDF via email to the Registrar, there is no need to use this e-form.
Any questions about the process outlined below should be directed to your CSA adviser.
Degree Conferral Dates
Students who intend to:
graduate in Spring 2021 should apply for the April degree;
take Summer A courses should apply for the June degree; and
take Summer B courses and/or summer courses that span both the Summer A and Summer B sessions are not eligible for a June 2021 degree and must wait instead until October 2021 for degree conferral. (That application process will start in summer 2021.). So, you do not need to apply for your degree right now.
International students who are considering Summer session courses must read the section below.
If you do not know whether or not you will be taking Summer A courses, apply for the April degree. Contact your CSA adviser as soon as possible if your plans change.
IMPORTANT: International Students
International students who wish to take Summer A classes must request an extension of your I-20 form. Your I-20 can only be extended if you need to complete degree requirements over the summer.
Degree requirements include:
points for the degree (128 points);
Core requirements; and
requirements for your major.
You cannot get an extension of your I-20 to complete a minor.
If you are not eligible for an extension of your I-20, you must apply for the April degree.
International students whose OPT or visa status may be affected by taking classes in any of the Summer sessions should contact ISSO for guidance.
Degree Application Process
You cannot change your legal first or last name on this form. Any changes to your legal first or last name must be made via the Registrar’s “Name Change Affidavit” process. If you want your middle name to appear on your diploma, ensure that it is included on this form in the “Name” field. You may request that your middle name be abbreviated or omitted if you prefer.
You will get an email receipt from the Registrar once your application has been received. You will see that your application has been marked as submitted on your SSOL account, under “Degree App Status,”though this may take until March 2021 to appear.
You cannot log back on to the degree application to make changes to your form once it is submitted. If you need to make any changes to your submitted application or have further questions, please contact email@example.com.
If you don’t know yet where you want your diploma to be delivered, you should enter your permanent address now, and you can update your “Diploma Address” on SSOL up to two days before your graduation date. If you do not have access to SSOL, or if you want to change your Diploma Address after your degree has been conferred, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Diplomas will take about four weeks from the graduation date for diplomas to be mailed.
