Under1Roof Student Coordinator Application

Multicultural Affairs is looking for up to three dynamic returning student facilitators to help lead Under1Roof dialogues for incoming first-year students during the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) in the role of student coordinator. The student coordinators will join the core planning team as part of Multicultural Affairs.

To complete the application process, you must fill out the form below, and then you be contacted by a Multicultural Affairs staff member to set-up your individual interview.

Black History Month Leadership Team Application Form

Black History Month (BHM), held every February, celebrates the rich cultural, historical and political contributions of the Black Diaspora.

Annually, BHM programming at Columbia includes an opening reception, panel discussions, film screenings, art shows and much more. These events are executed by the student-led BHM planning group.

Students interested in and enthusiastic about contributing their creativity and time toward the development of BHM are encouraged to apply by Friday, November 2 at 12:00 p.m.

International @ Columbia Fall Outing: School Girls

Join International @ Columbia, in collaboration with Students of Color @ Columbia, for our annual pre-Thanksgiving Fall Outing on Sunday, November 18. This event is FREE and open to all Columbia College and Columbia Engineering students.

Communication Request Form

USL staff may request assistance with various types of minor communication projects, such as minor webpage edits including USL homepage announcements, minor webform requests, and social media promotion. Save for webpage edits, if a current webform does not exist for your specific request on USL's Resources for Staff page, you may submit your request to USLadmin@columbia.edu with "Communication Request" in the subject line.

How large is the program?

The program includes 20 first-year participants and is coordinated by five upperclassmen. The program adviser is Nestor Hernandez, assistant director of Student Engagement.

What sorts of companies will we visit?

We will visit small startups, Fortune 500 companies, incubators/accelerators, and venture capital firms whose industries span various sectors.

What sort of web development will we learn?

We focus on teaching introductory web development skills. Participants will learn the basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Github. The month will culminate with students developing their own personal websites.

Events Team Communications Submission Form

This form is meant to serve as a guide for communications needed for upcoming events planned and coordinated by the Columbia College Dean's Office Events Team. All submissions should be completed as early as possible and when an event is known and confirmed.

Once the form is complete, please send an email to Killian Young with the proposed timeline and basic information about the event (event name, date, time, and registration information).
