New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) Crew Chiefs and Orientation Leaders should have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, energy, self-direction, institutional pride, and ethusiasm for assisting with Orientation and welcoming new students to Columbia and Barnard. Applicants should have experience or be familiar with the Orientation program as well as have a working knowledge of the First-Year and Transfer academic programs and Columbia-Barnard campus life.
We are currently accepting applications for NSOP crew chiefs. Please log-in using your UNI and password. All CC and SEAS students should be able to log into the system. The log-in is located in the upper right hand corner of this page. If you have any questions, please email the NSOP staff. Please note that if you are not selected to be a crew chief and still would like to be considered to be an orientation leader, you can select to do so in the application form.

The Center for Student Advising (CSA) and Office of Student Development and Activities (SDA) launched a pilot program, entitled Navigating Columbia: The First Year Experience Program, in Fall 2012. We are running an expanded program for Spring 2013. The program will run every Monday night from 5:30 PM to 7 PM starting on February 11 and run through April 22.
Deadline to apply is Wednesday, February 6th at 9 AM.
