Through Columbia Athletics, home to 32 varsity teams, there are numerous opportunities to support the Lions and show your school spirit (roar, lion, roar!).
An original member of the Ivy League, Columbia offers 32 NCAA Division I varsity sports, and 45-plus club sports and 40-plus intramural sport. Over the past decade, Columbia teams have won 30 Ivy League Championships - and will defend their league titles in Women's Golf, Men's Tennis, Men's and Women's Fencing and Wrestling in 2026-27. In addition, Columbia features one of the top women's basketball programs in the northeast, having won the 2026 Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament. Columbia has an exceptional program and tradition for serious players or any athlete or fan with a fierce love of the game. Admission to Columbia sporting events is free with CUID for enrolled students.
