Residential students will find everything they need to know regarding logistics and details for Check-In and Move-In on the Columbia Housing website. Links to specific resources and information can be found below.
You will receive detailed instructions via email from Columbia Housing regarding your Check-In time and Move-In logistics. At Check-In, you will pick up your University ID (which functions as your room key*) and New Student Orientation Program badge, and formally register with Housing and Residential Life.
*Transfer, Combined Plan, and exchange students might receive a hard key, depending on their residence hall.

Most visiting and exchange students will check in at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Alfred J. Lerner Hall, Room 555, where they will receive your University ID and meet their Orientation leader.

Packages received by Columbia Mail between Saturday, Aug. 1, and Saturday, Aug. 15 will be eligible for direct delivery to students’ rooms.
