Global Ethics Day

Global Ethics Day, created by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, is an “annual moment to empower ethics through the actions of both individuals and organizations.” This event is co-sponsored by the CC-SEAS Integrity Advisory Board, Academic Integrity,   International Students & Scholars Office, International@Columbia, and Student Conduct.

We encourage the Columbia community to participate in Global Ethics day by participating in conversations that consider the following questions from the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs:

  • What does ethics mean to you?
  • How can I take ethical action in my daily life?
  • Is there such a thing as a global ethic?
  • What ethical questions do I grapple with in my career?
  • How do you define ethical leadership?

Whether you prefer a casual conversation at our tabling locations (along with some swag and sweet treats) or would like to join in the conversation on social media using the hashtag (which is updated annually–check back for next year’s), we invite our community to partake in this ongoing global conversation!
