Can I attend an event or work during the Summer Bridge Program?

The Summer Bridge Program is a requirement to your admission agreement. We ask that you have no prior commitments during the Summer Bridge Program. There is full itinerary for the weekdays, as well as every weekend.

If I live outside the tri-state area, will I be provided transportation?

Yes, transportation to and from Columbia campus will be provided and arranged by Academic Success Programs, free of charge. You will be given a choice of travelling by plane or train. You will also receive car service to and from the NYC airport or train station. You will be provided your ticket via email with the day and time of your flight or train. You’re arrival date will be the first day of the Summer Bridge Program. Transportation will only be provided for the Summer Bridge Program.

Am I able to leave my belongings at Columbia after the Summer Bridge Program has ended?

There is no storage space available on campus. However, there are vendors that offer fee-based storage services to Columbia students.

2017 CUSP Summer Enhancement Fellowship: Independent Projects

CUSP does not vet the safety or security of the setting in which the students intend to pursue their projects.  It is the individual students’ responsibility to take the appropriate precautions about the settings in which they intend to pursue their project.  The nature of this fellowship is solely for financial support.

Completed applications for Summer 2017 awards must be submitted  by Monday, April 17, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.

All students going abroad MUST register with ISOS: https://www.internationalsos.com/MasterPortal/default.aspx?membnum=11BSGC000064 Funding will be held until after a student registers. Please allocate "Center for Student Advising" as your group.

As a condition of your CUSP Summer Enhancement Fellowship, you are obliged to participate in online blogging. Please set up a wordpress ID at wordpress.com. Wordpress ID's should be LastNameFirstName.
All students are sorted into a pod for blogging over the summer. Please select two different categories that your pod best fits.
Please attach a PDF with your answers to the following questions: 1. Which CUSP events did you attend? 2. How did each one contribute to your understanding of the theme of "Navigation"? 3. Please list and describe any alternate events you attended.
