Attend a ROOTED Dialogue

ROOTED (Respecting Ourselves & Others Through Empathy & Dialogue) is a group of trained facilitators dedicated to creating student-led spaces of solidarity, empathy and learning for members of the Columbia community to explore identity, power and privilege and how these forces impact experiences on campus and beyond.

Activities Day 2026

Activities Day is a great opportunity to showcase your recognized student group and connect with students from across the Columbia community. Activities Day 2026 will be held on Friday, September 11, from 12:00–4:00 p.m. on Low Plaza, Butler Plaza, and College Walk.

2021 Sophomore Orientation Activity Waiver

We look forward to welcoming sophomores to campus early this fall for exciting opportunities to connect with classmates, New York City and the Columbia community during the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP)! Participants can choose from a wide variety of optional sophomore-specific social and academic programming, neighborhood tours and late-night games and conversations as they get to know campus and its communities.
