Center for Student Advising Peer Adviser Application

The Center for Student Advising (CSA) is looking for motivated and talented students to become Columbia Peer Advisers for the 2015-2016 academic year. CSA Peer Advisers (PAs) are sophomores, juniors, and seniors who work during New Student Orientation (NSOP) and throughout the academic year to supplement the services offered by CSA, build community, and enhance the student experience. PAs receive ongoing and extensive training and provide a firsthand account of Core and course requirements, major options, and extracurricular activities.

Where can I find a tutor or other extra academic help?

If you are struggling in a course, you should always first contact your professor or teaching assistant to discuss expectations, go over previous exams and papers, and clarify concepts and the material. It's also a good idea to contact your advising dean, who can help you review your study habits and create a plan.
