We have developed the following tips to help you make the most of working in a remote learning space. 

Join the Residence Hall Leadership Organization Board of Directors

The Residence Hall Leadership Organization (RHLO) promotes community among our residential population and advocates for the needs of residents. Attend an information session to run for a position on the Board of Directors. 

The RHLO Board of Directors supports the Hall Councils, accomplishes campus-wide initiatives and determines the vision of the entire organization. 

The positions up for election for 2020-21 are:

Virtual Trans and Queer Self and Community Care Space

LGBTQ @ Columbia has partnered with Counseling and Psychological Services to provide a weekly online support space for queer and trans students. To join the group, email Kori Bennett at kb2863@cumc.columbia.edu with "QT Community Care" in the subject line.

Pre-Calendaring for Fall 2020

Beginning Monday, March 30 at noon, student group leaders can submit pre-calendaring requests via Virtual EMS to reserve space for Fall 2020. All requests must be submitted by Friday, April 17 at 11:59 p.m.

Important Notice Regarding Appointments

The Berick Center for Student Advising will be open for phone or virtual appointments until further notice. 

Of-the-Year Award Nomination Form

Of-the-Year award nominations for the 2022-23 academic year are now closed. 

Thank you for taking the time to nominate an individual, group or program for an Of-the-Year award! Your thoughtful nomination will be a tremendous aid to the King's Crown Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) in selecting the Of-the-Year award winners.

International @ Columbia Spring Break Outings

International @ Columbia is hosting two outings in New York City this Spring Break. On Monday, March 16, we will be going to visit the Museum of Sex for a guided tour of their current exhibitions. On Tuesday, March 17, we will be visiting the Universal Hip Hop Museum for a guided tour. Lunch and transportation will be provided.

Want to join the ISOP team?

The International Student Orientation Program (ISOP) is looking for orientation leaders and head orientation leaders to help welcome our international student community this summer. Apply the join the ISOP team by Friday, March 6 at noon.
