Mikhalya Brown is a graduating senior taking a gap year to work in the clinical field while applying to prospective MD/MPH programs. During her time on campus, she held leadership roles in the Panhellenic sorority Gamma Phi Beta, Christian organization RUF, Peer Health Exchange, and was a member of other communities on campus. Her time at Columbia has been positively impacted by her friends, professors, mentor Dr. Tracy Layne, campus minister Eric Lipscomb, and her advisor Alex España, who have helped to support her and influence her path forward.
