The Metropolitan Opera's "Don Carlo," Kurt Adler conducting, featuring Franco Corelli and Leonie Rysanek, in honor of American mezzo-soprano, Irene Dalis who passed away last Sunday. Jumping back 200 years to Henry Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas" and to continue in the vein of lovers, Claude Debussy's setting of Tristan Lhermite's poem, "Aupres de cette grotte sombre" from Le promenoir des deux amants.
