Wagnerian Night starting with Tannhauser. To contrast the demands of the Wagnerian soprano, Ortrud's Curse from Lohengrin was played alongside Isolde's Liebestod. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the world premiere of Richard Strauss's Capriccio, the program included the opera's finale.
