The key to every Columbia student’s liberal arts experience is a solid knowledge of at least one foreign language and culture.

Technical Requirements: Computer Science

What is required?

Generally, one semester of computer science.  (Note that chemical engineering majors do not have a computer science requirement.)

Technical Requirements: Calculus

What is required?

Completion of Calculus IV (MATH V1202) is required for almost all SEAS majors.

Technical Requirements: Lab

What is required?

One semester of chemistry and/or physics laboratory work; selection will depend upon major.

Technical Requirements: Chemistry

What is required?

At least one semester of chemistry (possibly two, depending on your major).
