Family Days 2021

Family Days events will take place October 15-17, concurrent with Homecoming. We are planning a hybrid event to comply with University public health measures. A hybrid event combines both in-person and virtual programs, ensuring participation for those families unable to travel to Columbia’s campus.

In addition to the official Deans’ Welcomes, faculty lectures, and student panels, we will also host additional webinars with Columbia faculty and staff.

Registration for Family Days will open the week of September 20. Keep watch for an email from Student and Family Support.

The preliminary schedule is now available. Session titles and presenter names will be added in the coming weeks. Please note that the Columbia University and Family Days event policies, as well as the schedule of events, are subject to change.

For your planning purposes please note:

  • In-person attendees over age 12 are required to be vaccinated. Proof of vaccination and photo ID is required to access all of our event venues.
  • In-person attendees must show proof of their vaccination in one of the following ways;
  • All in-person attendees are required to wear a face covering at Family Days, Homecoming, and Athletics events unless actively eating or drinking in approved locations. Children ages 5–11 are not required to be vaccinated, but must wear face coverings. Children under 5 are encouraged to wear face coverings if they are able.
  • We will continue to monitor local public health guidance and will communicate any changes or impacts to the schedule as early as possible.
  • Registration for in-person participation at Family Days is $10 per guest. Your registration will include dinner on Friday, October 15 and breakfast on Saturday, October 16.
  • Guests planning to participate virtually may register at no cost.
  • Tickets for football and other Columbia Athletics events must be purchased separately, or as part of a package with the Homecoming Lunch.
  • Homecoming events tickets may be purchased at additional cost in your Family Days registration.
