Travel to Campus

Directions

Columbia University’s Morningside Campus is located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. View directions to campus.

Five bus lines (M4, M5, M11, M60 and M104), and one subway line (1 train) at Cathedral Parkway (110th Street) and 116th Street (Columbia University), serve the Columbia neighborhood. The M60 bus offers a direct link between LaGuardia Airport and campus. Bus and subway routes are available on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority website.

For Class Day, drivers are advised to drop off and pick up passengers near the intersections of either 114th Street and Broadway or 114th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.

For Commencement travel information, please visit the Directions & Parking page for  detailed information about accessing Commencement as well as information on any anticipated street closures.

Campus Maps

Guests with disabilities might find the campus accessibility map helpful.

The main entrance to the Morningside Heights campus is on Broadway at 116th Street however, during Class Days and Commencement entrances will be limited for both graduates and guests.

Please visit the Commencement website to review maps and event access information.

Parking

We recommend guests use New York City’s convenient public transportation system as much as possible.

Columbia does not have on-campus parking. Visitors who plan to drive to campus should consult the University Commencement Directions & Parking website for information on several conveniently located private garages near campus.

Because of the number of visitors Columbia will welcome for Class Day and Commencement, please ensure you allow extra time to find a parking space.
