Tune in to hear music from both of these projects in addition to discussions on interpreting Italian music, Hooker's RnB inspirations, his recording process and more.

William Hooker, a drummer, composer, and poet, has created works that range from jazz and new music to experimental genres. As a bandleader, Hooker has fielded ensembles in an incredibly diverse array of configurations. Each collaboration has brought a serious investigation of his compositional agenda and the science of the modern drum kit.

With Aria, William Hooker pays a tribute to Italian folk music based on personal experiences from his travels to Europe. With the BrainWave project, William Hooker, in collaboration with neuroscientist and composer Dave Soldier, explores the relationship between improvisation and brain activity.
