This Week in the New Music Department: Zaimph on Live Constructions!

Sunday, May 13, 2012, 10:00-11:00 pm: This week, tune in to hear a live Zaïmph set on "Live Constructions." Zaïmph is the solo project of ambient noise artist Marcia Bassett. Well known for her work in the legendary drone act Double Leopards and her brilliant, blistering work with Matthew Bower in Hototogisu, Bassett has also collaborated Steve Gunn and Pete Nolan in GHQ and with Tom Carter in Zaika. Her work as Zaïmph is characterized by dense, meditative electronics, synthesizers, and guitar. Marcia will be playing a live set and talking about her recent release with Samara Lubelski, "Sunday Night, Sunday Afternoon" (out on Kye) and about the upcoming Zaïmph set at the Ende Tymes Festival. For more on Zaïmph, check outwww.zaimph.org. For more on Ende Tymes and the roster of participants, see www.halfnormal.com/endetymes.
