Pete Seeger on Hobo's Lullaby

With the passing of folk singer Pete Seeger, WKCR dedicates all Hobo's Lullaby programs in the month of February to him and his work. With his collaborations with contemporary folk singers, such as Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly, his group work with The Weavers and The Almanac Singers, and his own individual work, Seeger substantially influenced the common American folk music tradition. His recordings already have a home on our weekly folk music program, and we will continue to explore his material during this Saturday time slot. Each week Seeger's work will be presented thematically, based around subjects such as musical influences and topical interests. Tune in to Hobo's Lullaby every Saturday in February (2/1; 2/8; 2/15; 2/22) from 4:00pm-6:00pm for our tribute to Pete Seeger.
