WKCR will begin airing Evening Profiles August 11th from 5-7pm. Evening Profiles focuses on musicians from around the world, past and present. Evening Profiles pushes back against the nebulous qualities of World Music to present individual musicians’ evolution and artistry. Evening Profiles will air interviews and sets with musicians

Borrowing from other shows at WKCR -- the focus of Jazz Profiles, the conversations of Musician’s Show, the livesets of Live Constructions, and the pull in geography and time of Morning Profiles -- Evening Profiles represents a new freeform World Music program that can showcase programmer driven local and international artists.
