Maati Baani comes to WKCR, 89.9 FM, NYC --

Tune into WKCR, 89.9 FM (wkcr.org) on Sunday 26th July at 7:00 PM for Raag aur Taal, hosted by Manisha. This week's program will feature the artists Nirali Kartik and Kartik Shah of Maati Baani, a fusion band that has taken India by storm. Their music is primarily focused on infusing Indian ragas with other instruments and singers from India and beyond, which yields a refreshing blend of folk and ragas. Nirali is a Hindustani classical vocalist, Kartik is a guitarist. Their journey to international renown began with a YouTube upload, from which a tremendous fanbase grew.
