He has played with guitarists John Abercrombie, Ed Cherry, Jimmy Ponder, saxaphonists Oliver Lake, Ralph Bowen, Don Braden, and drummers Adam Nussbaum, Ralph Peterson, and Tony Reedus, among many others. He has been guitarist Dave Stryker’s organist of choice since 2004 and plays on Stryker’s latest release, Eight Track. Gold also has recorded five albums as a leader for Posi-Tone Records, including Golden Child, which features original compositions and a selection of reimagined Motown tunes, and the most recent JG3+3.
