Conversations on the Leading Edge presents the latest dialogues surrounding conflict resolution and is a collaboration between WKCR's Late City Edition and the Earth Institute's Advanced Consortium of Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4). which presents the latest dialogues surrounding conflict resolution. In this conversation, AC'4 Kyong Mazzaro interviews Wilmar Andres Martinez Valencia, Rafael Augusto Restrepo Agudelo, and Jerson Hader Gonzales Marulanda about their involvement with the organization Puerta Abierta. Based Medellin, Colombia, Puerta Abierta works to foster, encourage, develop and support youth and their communities toward transcending violence and creating social change. Valencia, Agudelo, and Marulanda discuss how they came to work together, transforming violent contexts, and understanding war as more than direct violence. The original interview was conducted in Spanish, and the content aired will be an English reading of a transcript of that interview.
