We first listened to Susie Ibarra's solo drum release, "Dream Sketches." On her solo release, Ibarra here played on drumset, kulintang, sarunay, and percussion. "Drum Sketches" was recorded live at the world premier of the pieces, all composed by Ibarra, in May 2007. We then listened to an excerpt from a previously aired Live Construction, from October 2009, of C. Spencer Yeh. The excerpt from this performance that we heard was the first half of his violin improvisation of that in-studio session.
