This show began by focusing on big bands, and then smaller ensembles, led by drummers. We listened to their solos in preparation for the tail end of the show, when duos between drummers and other instrumentalists were heard. Finally, the drum set was highlighted by the solo playing of luminaries like Andrew Cyrille, Milford Graves, and Newman Taylor Baker.
