Robert Benford Lepley is the founder of The Grand Piano Studio and Studio Musicians for Any Recording. Robert is also the composer of the beautiful choral CD “Visions Within” featuring Meryl Streep and the New York Voices - AND he will soon release his two-CD jazz recording, "Macdougal St., NYC".
He has been teaching and playing the piano professionally for over fifty years.
Mr. Lepley has performed with some of the legendary big bands such as the Glen Miller and Bob Crosby Orchestras, and with well-known contemporary jazz musicians such as Sonny Fortune, Eddie Daniels, and Joe Lovano. He has also had a long and successful career as a composer, arranger, and recording artist. He composed music for the theatre while living in Greenwich Village, and has recorded with jazz singers and instrumentalists over the years.
