Tune in to the Musician’s Show this Wednesday, September 20 from 6-9 PM ET for a live interview with Brazilian-born guitarist Ricardo Grilli. Based in New York City, Grilli is an influential figure in the modern guitar scene, and has received excellent reviews in renowned publications such as the New York Times, Downbeat, Jazz Times and All About Jazz. He has performed with international artists like Chris Potter, Chris Cheek, Eric Harland, Will Vinson, John Escreet, EJ Strickland, Aaron Parks and Joe Martin, and performed in some of the world’s greatest jazz clubs like the Blue Note, Iridium, and Smalls. In 2013 he released his first CD, If On A Winter’s Night a Traveller, chosen by Jazz Times’ Steve Greenlee as the best debut album of the year. He has an undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music, as well as a master’s degree in Jazz Studies from NYU.
