Award Recognition
Inclusion and Advocacy
Nayeon Park CC’27 is studying art history on a pre-law track. She is being recognized for her commitment to inclusion and advocacy through her work as director of operations at the Columbia Food Pantry. Park has truly enjoyed finding ways to improve food access resources on campus. She has had the privilege of assisting with the expansion of the pantry’s inventory and fostering a rich student volunteer community across all of Columbia’s affiliated schools. Park also has cultivated her appreciation for institutions that shape justice and public engagement through her internships at the Supreme Court of the United States and other legal institutions. She hopes to continue to lead with empathy and a belief that contributing to the communities around her is itself an act of advocacy.
