Inclusion and Advocacy
Eunice Akoth Ochieng CC’26 is a 4+1 student who studied human rights and political science at Columbia and is pursuing a master’s in international affairs at SIPA. Raised in Kibera, Nairobi, her understanding of inclusion, advocacy, and service is shaped by the resilience, dignity, and strength of the community she calls home. Her work is grounded in a belief that people deserve to be seen, heard, and supported, and that storytelling, policy, and collective action can help make that possible. This commitment is reflected in her work through Muanzo Mpya, an initiative that amplifies stories from Kibera and helps create pathways for visibility, support, and opportunity. Across her academic, professional, and community engagements, Ochieng remains committed to uplifting underrepresented voices and building more just, compassionate, and inclusive communities.
“I come from a place that taught me how to survive, but I carry a vision that dares me to do more than survive.”
