Columbia University Science Olympiad (CUSO) is an undergraduate student group dedicated to promoting STEM education through the Science Olympiad competition. Each year, it hosts a tournament, bringing together more than 1,000 high school students, coaches, and Columbia undergraduates. Competitors compete in topics ranging from anatomy and physiology to circuitry. It hosts many competition events specializing in engineering, such as creating bridges or building robots. Over the past year, it established an outreach program to support middle school students competing in Science Olympiad in surrounding communities. CUSO is dedicated to fostering learning in STEM and is always looking for ways to expand its reach.
