Yadira Anahi Gonzalez Yumbla CC’26

Yadira Anahi Gonzalez Yumbla CC’26 is being recognized with the Health & Wellness Award for her commitment to advancing equitable health outcomes through research, leadership, and community engagement. As a student of psychology and public health at Columbia, she focused on global health disparities, with particular attention to maternal health, child development, and barriers to care in all settings. Gonzalez Yumbla led initiatives that connected public health knowledge with community impact, including mentoring young women through Shaping Her Earth and contributing to youth-focused health policy work at the Babel Institute. Her academic and professional experiences reflect a strong dedication to improving health systems and promoting wellness at both local and global levels. Through her work, Yumbla strives to bridge gaps in access, education, and care for underserved populations.
