Tori Madison Fergus CC’26

Tori Madison Fergus CC’26 is a biology major with a minor in Latin American and Iberian studies, recognized for her commitment to advancing health equity and fostering wellness at Columbia. As chair of the Physical and Mental Health Committee for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, she led initiatives including World AIDS Day programming and A Clinical Trial Revolution: Why Representation Matters, highlighting inequities in clinical research. She also organized donation drives for menstrual products and hygiene kits, and expanded the Green Ribbon Week campaign, a youth mental health awareness initiative, on campus. Tori was a member of Columbia Students for Health Education, Access and Literacy, where she helped to develop workshops supporting students’ transition, and was an Orientation Leader, mentoring first-years. She conducted wound-healing research at Columbia’s Synthetic Regeneration & Systems Physiology Laboratory and is currently helping the laboratory launch a 3D skinoid educational platform. Fergus is honored to have been selected to receive the Health & Wellness Award.
