Emerging Leader
Tatyana Ilieva SEAS’28 is majoring in computer science with a minor in electrical engineering. She is being recognized for her leadership in building community and expanding access to emerging technologies at Columbia. As a two-year member of the Engineering Recruitment Committee, Ilieva has helped shape how prospective students engage with Columbia Engineering. She served as the Community, Action, Responsibility, and Engagement coordinator for the New Student Orientation Program committee, where she designed and led programming to help first-years build community within Columbia. Beyond this work, Ilieva is an active member of CU Cyber and serves on the board of Blockchain at Columbia. She has built and deployed full-stack applications that leverage smart contracts and real-time financial systems to make digital finance more accessible and intuitive. Through her leadership and technical work, she is committed to making complex technologies more accessible and empowering others to engage with innovation.
