Olivia O’Driscoll SEAS’26 is from Canada, and studied computer science and dance. She is being recognized for her work as VP of student life for the Engineering Student Council, most memorably the Cardboard Boat Contest. Her passion for STEM education led her to serve as a TA for both artificial intelligence and discrete mathematics. She also mentored a rookie FIRST Robotics Competition team on campus and taught data science through Girls who code - Columbia University. Outside of the classroom, O’Driscoll remained active in the performing arts as a dancer in Orchesis and as build captain for the 130th Varsity Show. For the last four years, she was a member of the Heffner Biomedical Imaging Laboratory. Her fascination with developing computer vision methods for image-guided surgical interventions brings her next to MIT to pursue a Ph.D. in computer science.

I also thank my friends for never failing to make me laugh, and my academic mentors for their guidance, encouragement, and belief in my potential, as I strive to grow and give back.”
