Columbia Spirit
Kimiko Reed CC’26 is from Arlington, Va., and studied history with a focus on public health. In her time at Columbia, she remained committed to nurturing a community of belonging, respect, and care. She was heavily involved on campus, including serving as a tour captain for the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, as an editor for the Columbia Journal of History, and a research assistant for the Energy Equity Housing and Health Program at the Mailman School of Public Health. Reed has also served as co-president of Columbia University Taiko, as a student intern for Columbia Undergraduate Admissions, as an Orientation Leader for the New Student Orientation Program, and as a mentor for the Columbia Mentorship Initiative. In her free time, she loves running, dance, and artistic pursuits. Reed is honored to be recognized for her leadership and engagement within the Columbia community as an embodiment of the “Columbia Spirit.”
