Katherine Morse CC’26 is being recognized for her dedication to expanding scientific knowledge and cancer prevention across academic and community spaces. Her research has spanned the full trajectory of cancer from the molecular origins of genome instability to treatment responses. She contributed to published papers on DNA repair in The Greene Lab and studied trends in cancer therapeutics with oncologist Dr. Antonio Fojo. Beyond her research, Morse is the founder of Cleaning4SkinCancer, a non-profit dedicated to skin cancer prevention and environmental awareness through which she facilitated activities for the CARE New Student Orientation Program. On campus, she served as a biochemistry TA, where she fostered an inclusive and supportive learning environment. As an S-HEAL health educator, she led health education classes for NYC high school students. Off campus, Morse has volunteered in the NewYork-Presbyterian Emergency Department, supported pediatric patients through a hospital playroom, and tutored second-grade students in Harlem.
