Principled Action
Gabriel Vega Troncoso CC’27 is being recognized for his principled leadership, dedication to service, and commitment to the well-being of others through his work with Columbia University Emergency Medical Services and the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center. As a crew chief and EMT with CUEMS, Vega Troncoso provides patient care across campus while modeling accountability, ethical decision-making, and compassion in high-pressure situations. Through his work in harm reduction at LESHRC, he supports community members with dignity and respect, helping expand access to care and resources for vulnerable populations. Troncoso is known for approaching challenges with integrity and for mentoring peers in ways that emphasize responsibility, teamwork, and empathy.
