Originally from New York City, Erica Morgan Lee CC’26 studied urban studies and statistics. As head of DEI at the Columbia Daily Spectator, she reformed recruitment practices, work-study allocations, and internal standards, specifically overseeing journalistic ethics during the Gaza Solidarity Encampment to ensure fair reporting. Lee also held student leadership roles as a teacher at the Columbia Bartending Agency and as VP of ritual and fraternity appreciation of Alpha Chi Omega. She is being recognized for her contributions to community-building on campus.
