Emily Jo Lynn Phillips CC’26 studied neuroscience and behavior. She is being recognized for the Columbia Spirit award and as a Senior Marshal for her deep commitment to the campus community, serving as co-president of the American Medical Student Association, as president of the Columbia University Pep Band, and as director of the Global Health Education Committee for CU Global Health Equity & Medicine. Phillips also served as a TA in the Department of Psychology for three semesters and conducted research at the Lugo Lab, studying perinatal risk and resilience in the context of sleep and infant neurodevelopment. It is with great pride that she celebrates her graduation from Columbia University as a first-generation and rural student.
