Bryson Yoonseo Chang CC’26 is a double major in political science and financial economics, and studied how political and financial institutions can be harnessed to create positive change in the lives of Americans. Over the last four years, he has deeply engaged with the Columbia and the larger NYC communities. As president of the Columbia Democrats in 2024 and 2025, Chang created actionable opportunities for students to become more politically engaged and advance their individual priorities. He organized the first major debate in the 2025 Democratic Primary for NYC mayor; trips to Washington, D.C., to lobby elected officials; and campaign opportunities for progressives across the country. He also was on the executive boards of the Columbia Pre-Law Society and Political Science Honor Society. Chang has worked in Rep. Jerry Nadler CC’69’s office, on various federal political campaigns, and with the Alliance for Justice, a judicial nonprofit working to increase the competence and diversity of the country’s judiciary. He will be attending the Law School in the fall.
