Senior Marshal
Ayaan Ali CC’26 double majored in history and South Asian studies with a minor in computer science. Last summer, he served as an adviser to the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations under Pakistan’s term on the UN Security Council, where his work included attending meetings and writing reports for First Committee affairs. He also was a research assistant for Dr. David Shimer at the Institute of Global Politics, a producer at the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies’ “Chalkboard Politics” podcast, a federal intern for the International Trade Administration, and a summer legal associate at McLaughlin & Stern. Ali also was a reporter and deputy editor at the Columbia Daily Spectator for five semesters and served as president of the Columbia Pakistani Students Association in his junior year. He was a Saltzman and Institute of Global Politics Student Scholar.
