Anjelica Anyango Young CC’28 is studying neuroscience and behavior on a prelaw track. From Eldoret, Kenya, she is driven by a central question: How do systems, language, and human behavior shape access to opportunity and justice? This question informs her work across research, policy, and student leadership. As a Laidlaw Scholar, she examines how Kenyan media framing influences public discourse on gender-based violence, while her work as a Millennium Fellow extends this focus on communication into practice through The Space Plus Podcast, where she demystifies academic pathways for African students. Her commitment to access and representation also shapes her leadership as treasurer of the African Development Group, where she supports student engagement in spaces such as the Harvard Africa Business Conference. As a NAFSA UN Youth Representative, she bridges global policy spaces and student communities by making United Nations opportunities more accessible. On campus, she facilitates Under1Roof dialogues that foster inclusion and community-building among first-years.
