Senior Marshal
Kate Michelle Osorio CC’25 is a senior from Roselle, NJ, majoring in architecture with a special concentration in education studies. At Columbia, she has remained committed to building community — both on campus and beyond. Osorio is being recognized for her leadership as East Campus hall council president, public relations chair for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, a New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) “lifer,” and as a first-generation low-income representative on the Columbia College Student Council. A proud FGLI and Latina student, Osorio launched “Days Out on Us” to provide free metrocards for FGLI students, increasing access to wellness resources, internships and other opportunities across NYC. As a campus tour guide and lead student intern at the Visitors Center, Osorio has spent four years introducing prospective students to Columbia and working to make higher education feel accessible to all. In every space she enters, she leads with joy, kindness and a deep belief that all students deserve to feel seen, supported and at home at Columbia.
