Zach Nam CC’25 is a senior majoring in computer science and biology. He is being recognized for athletic and academic excellence, leadership and community engagement. As captain of the varsity squash team, Nam guided his team to place fifth nationally and led the team in wins for two seasons. For his leadership and commitment to excellence, he was awarded the Academic All-Ivy honor twice, Kenneth W. Torrey Award, Most Valuable Player, and Most Improved Player accolades. Academically, Nam was inducted into the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society for excellence in computer science, contributed multiple years of research at Columbia’s Movement Recovery Lab, and supported fellow students as a psychology teaching assistant. Throughout his years at Columbia, Nam has mentored underserved kids at StreetSquash in Harlem and served patients at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
